May 25: Ascension Day.

Today is Ascension Day, and over the next eleven days—between Ascension Day and Pentecost Sunday, and as part of our Strategic Planning process —I will be praying for you, for our Church, and for our community. My prayers will also be part of a Global Prayer movement called Thy Kingdom Come. Thy Kingdom Come invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to faith in our Lord Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. You can join me and thousands of others by going to this page to sign up online: . There you can sign up for daily reminders and daily videos from the leaders of the Anglican Communion. It’s that simple, and costs you nothing. I will also announce a Virtual 24 Hour Prayer Vigil that you will be able to sign up for on-line and pray from the comfort of your home. More details to follow. Let me add this, the first video from Thy Kingdom Come, from our own Presiding Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Michael Curry. It is worth watching and is a wonderful reminder of the Power of Prayer: If you like this video, make sure you share it too!
